Although I am a person who is more than likely above average in systems technology skills, as a business owner I am finding myself learning something new almost every day, which by the way is a goal of mine. Recently I've spent time learning about:
- Writing a Business Plan
- Doing Market Research
- Setting Up a Website (if you need support, let me know I love to give referrals).
- Selling in the 21st Century
- Setting Up A Marketing Plan
- Networking (Business, Social, Causes)
- Setting Up Advertisement Pages
- Driving Traffic to Websites through SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- Checking Results (Google Analytics)
- Setting Up Online Stores,
- Creating Store Policies,
- Writing a Personal Profile,
- Learning About Product Photography and Writing Benefit Driven Product Descriptions,
- Learning about Branding and Style
- Locating Manufacturing Resources
- Learning about Trends
It is almost hard to believe that setting up a small business requires such diverse knowledge, but it is very stimulating to find resources that provide opportunities for personal growth at my age! One of my aspirations as a mother is to encourage my daughter(s) to strive for knowledge so hopefully I can continue to lead by example.
